|
|
Hey guys,
I just bought a 50gal blue plastic barrel that I'm going to set up in my lake. I'm trying to figure out the best way to anchor it, so the it wont pop up or move around.
Wondering if anyone has done something like this and how they did it. Right now, I'm thinking of laying it down on it's long side, filling it 1/3 full of water, attaching rope to both ends with an anchor at the end of each rope.
What do you think will work the best???
Sorry if this has already been posted but I couldn't find anything about barrel's. |

Yeah pretty much, it's a huge barrel, so may be able to land on it and trick off it too. |

You're pretty much only going to be able to ollie it or bonk it quick.
In any case, what you described should be fine. An anchor point at each end will keep it in place for you. |

Cool man, thanks! I'll see what I can pull off over/on it. They have a smaller one at our local cable park, was pretty fun and something different. Thought I'd try it on my lake. |

Yeah! I really like stuff like that. It's simple but fun. Ollie 180's with a nice smack of the nose or tail as you go over the barrel can be a blast. Makes you feel really in control and gives you a chance to add some style. |

Yeah next I'm planning on building a kicker. I don't have a big wake by any means, as I'm only riding behind an old run about with a 70hp on the back. So I have to get a few other things to make it a bit more interesting.
I can pull 180's and 360's no problem behind my boat, but can get enough air for much more. I want to learn how to load the line better this year and see if I might be able to get a simple invert in.
We'll see. |
