Hi All

Looking for 3 boards
1. Son (8yr 65 lbs)
* thinking about the Inland Surfer ooze or Phase 5 scamp? other options?

2. Me (5 '6, 165lb, beginner, surf style)
*thinking about the Inland Surfer Mucus

3. Buddies, guest, inlaws etc
* thinking about the Hyperlite Broadcast 5.4" as an all around boat board

Thx in advance for any and all advice!

ps-2009 RZ2 throws a great wake!

Any of the larger entry level surfboards like the Broadcast, Ride, Venture, or Cortez are great for buddies on the boat and entry level riders. Stick to the wakeboard style surfboards for new riders so they dont destroy a highend wakesurf board until they learn how to ride.

I have been on the Mucus and it has not been a favorite of mine. I like the sweet spot pro.

does the son ride already? If he is new might want him to test out some stuff before you buy a highend surfer. Does he ride skim or surf style? If he is surf style check out the Nano from Shred Stixx. If he is skim then the Ooze is a good choice.
