I don't know about cycles... I know it slows the hell down after a kid. When does this cycle that you speak of begin to increase again? _________________ Work SUX! |

I would love to hear an analogous debate by women about men substituting the word "hot" for "rich."
And, IMO, it don't matter how hot the girl is, it matters how she was raised by her parents. It is no secret that people (and therefore money, jobs, oppurtunity, etc.) are attracted to attractive people of EITHER sex. |

That's basically what I was getting at when discussing character.
I think gals who grow up attractive have their character challenged much earlier and more often then their less attractive counterparts, and are therefore more likely to have issues later in life resulting from some of these experiences.
I think the ideal situation is to find a gal who was raised well who may have been late to the attractive game.
I knew a girl in college who was probably the most well raised, high character gal I had ever met. Smart, funny, and sweet. However, she was a tomboy who wore boy clothes and skinny, and when I say skinny, I mean eating disorder skinny (though she had no medical issues). We hung out with the same group of friends, but I just never saw her THAT way. My buddy ended up marrying her. When they had kids, she put on weight and went from bony to swimsuit model. With an extra 30lbs she looks amazing, and now keeps herself in that manner from clothes to makeup, etc. Dude hit the freakin lottery. _________________ TONA

My wife!
Whats important.
For me it was important to be with a person that likes and has the same interests as me. Wakeboarding, surfing snowboarding, golf, kiteboarding ect ect. And she can cook!
So many of my friends married a bunch of princesses. Gucci handbags, never get in the water, super high maintenance ect ect. If thats your thing then thats great. From experience those types of woman just get crazier by the day.
Hot and down to earth. Thats my taste! _________________ Don't do anything rash.....and don't do anything to get a rash... |

I completely understand the idea that you want a girl who has the same interests that you do. I get it.
And that's great for you.
I don't want that.
For me, there are things I want to do with my friends, and things I want to do with my girlfriends. And the two rarely coincide.
For instance, my latest passion is shooting sporting clays. I have ZERO desire for my girlfriend to take an interest in that. In fact, I would be disappointed if she did.
Though we do have other interests we share, but I need my own things. Maybe more than some other people. "Wakeboarding, surfing snowboarding, golf, kiteboarding ect ect." would be way too much for me. _________________ I walk 47 miles of barb wire, I got a cobra snake for a necktie, a brand new house up on the road side, and it's made out of rattlesnake hide |

i'm pretty shallow. only life i get so i'm not settling. i take care of myself and i wouldn't mind if my SO did too(no so here, just ie). don't care if she's getting rich as long as she has a good stable job.
has to get along with my family and vise versa or it just won't work.
looks? well, we won't go there. |

who cares? as long as she's able to drive, I think thats a must and I haven't found any girls that Don't like driving, even if you force them to do it, just never yell at them when they go 16 mph and ask you why your arms are tired when you get in the boat to adjust the perfect pass. _________________ Live to Ride, ride to live |

I do, she belittled and showed zero interest in arguably my most favorite hobby/activity. Then has proceeded to tell me I need to "grow out of it" at some point.
So that has all rubbed me the wrong way, I still love the girl.
For comparison I'd say this is like a guy going along shopping with a girl all day and whining the whole time. In relationships sometimes you need to suck it up and try to enjoy something for your partner, because who knows maybe you'll start to enjoy it too.
On top of all that, there's no way my GF would ever want to drive my family's boat lol. _________________ Wake Forest University |

If my girl suddenly wanted to come motorcycle riding and sporting clays, it would bother me ALMOST as much as if my guy friends suddenly wanted to start S'ing my D. _________________ I walk 47 miles of barb wire, I got a cobra snake for a necktie, a brand new house up on the road side, and it's made out of rattlesnake hide |
