So I need to buy some cool gifts this year, I always bitch out because I just hate shopping, and buying crap that nobody wants. People ask me what I want and a) I already bought it or b) you can't afford it. (bah, humbug) However, I got cool gifts last year from Dad and FIL, and this year, I want to put some thought into it and buy something cool for both of them and my wife if I get a cool idea.

FIL just finished total remodel on his lake house so I was thinking about these cool custom (USA) hand made steak knifes (eight, under kitchen cutlery):

Or, perhaps, some wagyu steaks from allenbros? Something they wouldn't ordinarily buy. Anyhoo, post up cool ideas < =$500 and help me out.

Sorry, should have posted a bit more about that earlier. They really aren't into anything, FIL is a techie, but has all the latest and greatest everything already. Dad is a car guy / NASCAR (gasp) guy. No go on the cigars, and they prefer old smuggler to blue label :/

in line with the steak knifes, brother in law got a mammoth bone folding knife as a holiday gift. It was a big hit. I think it was from this company.

think it was this one. http://www.laguiole.com/laguiole-knife-pieces-mammoth-ivory-handle-shiny-stainless-steel-p-632.html

for a techy, you can always get them some good ebooks or apps. There's a odbc2 bluetooth connector that allows you to read engine diagnostics on your iPhone. boat engines to.
