I've never attempted a TS Backroll but now is the time. However I don't know anything about this trick. Can anyone please provide some step by step instruction or tips for TS Backroll. I have a very high TS w2w already.
Thanks |

you need to throw the flip with your hips (and not your head), this will give you more height. Keep the handle close to your hip as you would a w2w. Some people say grabbing it helps too |

No you'll end up looking straight back over your head. This video shows you how the guy doesn't whip his head back to initiate the rotation which is why he gets so much height http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lmgVs6xTWIQ
but this guy does he's also throwing it way to early http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v-L-Sj40ghw&feature=related
For your first go slow the boat down and just get used to the rotation, don't pull on the handle while you're in the rotation as it will throw you into revert |

For $10/month, join LearnWake. Their TS Backroll instructions are awesome.
You may want to try a one-handed TS Back, although I didn't find that necessary a lot of people find it helpful I've heard. Make sure you get pop first, throwing this trick too early is the #1 mistake I see.
If you've tried a Tantrum (if memory serves me you're still trying to land your first invert) the look is identical, but like andibrook said you do throw it with your hips (and head). With your trampoline skills I would imagine you could nail this flip quickly.
Best of luck,

Thanks for the tips and I know I can do it.... just gotta throw it once and I'll be okay. I've tried the tantrum a few times, but mostly try HS backrolls. |
