Have them tight when your learning, then loosen them later if you want, but it is all personal preferance. So long as you don't get wheel bite (when your wheel rubs the bottom of your deck, causing the deck to stop dead), then you will be fine.

| CM pretty much hit the nail on the head. I'll just add that if I'm skating ramps or vert I typically have my trucks kinda tight & for flatland & street they'll be loose. |

| I think it's all personal preference... I'll go from tight trucks to loose trucks like every couple of weeks depending on what I feel like. If I'm doing mainly flatground stuff like flip tricks and ollies I like my trucks tighter. If I'm grinding and boardsliding I like them looser.... it really just depends on what I feel like riding though.... |

| the tightness or looseness on your trucks is your personal preference. i like to ride mine as loose as they go i ride the best like that |

You can also play around with making each truck different tightnesses. Most pros who do that like the front loose and the back tight, but I ride with the back loose and the front just a little tighter.

| its all in your style of riding, some like them really loose so they can turn easy, where as i kick turn. my trucks are hard as a rock,,, i can do sideways manuals almost without turning. its just how i like them |
