doesn't matter. all boards will break. get the one you like behind the boat the most. |

i hit sliders with a 03 premier, with the jib base, awsome...until it started slowing down a little, but its still great, i kinda like that it is a little slower now, because it gives me a litte more time when im sliding to remember to acually do my spin, if i plan on doing it, lol, just my opinion |

Why do you stick to one company? I assume your not sponsored, don't limit yourself to one company. Personally, if I were to buy a board purely for sliding, I'd get myself an origin or joyride because of their warranty. If I planned on doing a lot of surface tricks at a cable, I probably would definitely try out the Double Up Pure Ride since I've been hearing it's such a good cable board. Best thing to do of course is demo.
However, if you are that much stuck on Hyperlite, go with a 2003 biolite premier/byerly. Biolite probably will last longer than DNA, and the premier and byerly are the only 2 models that have jib base on the biolite ones. _________________ Behind the boat house, I'll show you my DOCK SECRET

No offense, but buying a board just because it's a hyperlite is being blind about things. If you plan on using this purely as a slider board, I'd go w/ a origin or joyride unless I was loaded. You may get really good deals, but say you break your board on the slider more than once a year, it's going to add up. Plus I hear that the origin rides pretty good too, and you can be as hardcore as Derrick =P. _________________ Behind the boat house, I'll show you my DOCK SECRET

A local shop here just got some origin boards in and i have to say the quality was lacking. It looked like they cut the board out with a butterknife. The edges were rough and crappy, and 3 of the 4 boards they got in the slider base was delaming from the core. I'm glad they give agreat warranty your gonna need it. _________________ Shane Cook

The premier is great on sliders. I ride it finless and it holds on to the rail really well with the molded fins keeping me on when I get a little nose or tail happy on a boardslide. unfortunatly this is my only board and If I damage it (more than i already have) I will be SOL. |

I ride Hyperlite only. I like their designs, my shop gets me warranted no matter what, and the ride is hard to beat. I have tried other things but found that what I have is just a favorite. I use an 01 premier 135 for sliding. It has taken some punishment from gaps and friends, just use a little epoxy and its good as new. 02 140 premier for riding _________________ Everything in Between is what matters the most...

there are no board made specifically for cable, but there are some that are good for the cable....there isnt any differance, you can use any kind of wakeboard on a cable, no specifications that make it better or not though, does that answer your question? |
