So, I've been using Soluto to fine tune my PCs for some time now.

It's a very simple and effective solution that draws upon crowdsourced knowledge to determine what programs launch in your PC's startup sequence, and then allows you to pause them or delay them. The great part is, the crowdsourced info, that tells you what the program is, what it does, and what other Soluto users have done about it. It also does this for browser add-ons, and it also monitors program crashes and offers solutions if they are available. It's very slick.

They now have put into beta, a solution where you can "invite" people to monitor their systems remotely, and even make adjustments. For example: if your mom has a PC that she routinely f**ks up, you could invite her and install this on her PC, and monitor it (and make changes) remotely - no more trying in vain to walk her through Ccleaner or the control panel or system management screens.

I installed it on a friend's machine who I very often help out - most of the time using join.me or gotomeeting to assist. Now, instead of doing that, I just check in on the Soluto website, and I can see all of the pertinent info about her machine, right down to current CPU core temperature. It tells me if she needs updates, what browser she has as default, what programs are in startup, and what crashes she has had lately (if any).

The only real drawback so far is you only get to monitor 5 PCs during beta.

Anyhow, this program gets a HUGE thumbs up from Chavez.
