started my build. its going to be completely enclosed like the grinch. its going to be a bottom feed winch, has a 16.5 ftlb briggs motor, will have a spool brake that activates when you let off the throttle. getting the base, spool walls, and the covers cut this week from a local water jet guy. any way, heres the pic from day 1. sorry about the cell pic.

i havnt had a chance to work on it. we had a big problem with a parts supplier sending us crap and with the water jet guy cutting the spools all wrong. and i have been busy building board racks for phalanx wakeboards to take to the surf expo. busy last couple of weeks. should be getting back on this project this weekend. _________________ trying to find a $5-7K usable saltare if anyone knows of one.

decided to change the frame a bit. the old frame weighed 72 pounds.....
here is some pics. i think we have to much power and are pulling through the belt on our deep water starts. might need to tighten up the driven clutch spring in our tav.
on a side note, im am not a fan of the harbor freight rope. broke it no less than 20 times today. really Bubb Rubb up our test day. by the end of the day, we were down to less than 200'..... superman, whats the trick to using this rope? no deep water starts?
and also found out that ridiculous winch spools are complete crap. i will post up some pics of the carnage tomorrow when the sun is out....not impressed one bit. i really hope they make it right.
