Every time I try and do an air raley I seem to fully extend about ten feet up to just to be pulled forward and thrown into a front flip type fall. What is going wrong...

If you let go of the handle it often turns into a front flip-ish thing. Might be the edge in, might be something different, hard to say anything without a video.

Is it a front flip or a barrel roll?

If you're doing a front flip then you're likely just losing the rope.

If you're doing a barrel roll you're taking off un balanced and it's trying to flip you into a back roll while you're trying to do a raley.

Guess you're regular then? You're stargazing, where the nose of the board points towards the sky. Can be several things: too much weight on your back foot, coming off edge before you hit the wake, and/or looking towards the landing zone instead of at the tower (or pylon or whatever).
So; focus on (possibly) putting some more weight on your front foot before you start your edge in. And/or make sure you take a SUPER progressive edge where you keep edging all the way through the wake, and look at the tower while you're in the air.

Have you done 'm off the wakeskate yet? Might save you from some nasty falls. Make sure you're using a CGA approved vest while learning raleys.

Wide and progressive. Start slow, really slow, for the first third or so, build it up and have a superstrong edge getting into the spray line and keep edging going up the wake, don't flatten off.
Make sure to get some videos!

Just to add to what Flyzone said. A raley(or all tricks) require commitment all the way through the trick. If you decide last second not to do it then you're just going to crash... hard.

I as trying to stick my back rolls consistantly this weekend and my first one of the day I backed off right when I was about to pop and ended up on my back in the flats. Nasty whip lash and my ribs hurts for a few days after. I almost stuck it later on but the first crash put me out for the better part of the day. Just an example of commitment all the way through.

Makes sure your consciously weighting that front foot like mentioned above, thats the biggest problem ive had when helping people learn. You should have equal weight on front and back which will require shifting your weight forward and the more aggressive you do it the easier it will be
