Are there any specific tips, a lot of speed, leaning back against the rope a certain way? I've got the backside slide and lip slides down

HOLY GIANT PICTURES BATMAN!

Just get some speed going and lift your front foot. You won't be able to stay like that very long. I do this to wet down rails sometimes if I'm trying to be a ninja and hit a specific spot.

You can't do much of a slide like that unless you have a flex board. He is riding a watson in that picture, which is not a flex board. In those pics, he's probably just dipping the tail of the board into the water which would recoil back immediately. It probably wouldn't look all that cool at full speed. You can't do a lengthy slide unless you're riding a slingshot or similar. At least I've never been able to do them, and I do them all the time now on my slingshot.

That makes a lot of sense, when I see Murray doing them, I think he is mostly on the ROAM board.

PPHHFF You can do it with out one.. Not saying it isn't harder and you can't hold it as long, but it's definately possible.

You just really have to edge out hard and push down on your back leg like you're givin birth, just keep tryin. It also helps if the boat is turning away from your toeside edge, that way you get more momentum and speed.

flex not needed. i have best luck doing them riding switch. i cut outside the wake 5-10 feet, toes facing the wake. and start leaning back and poking out. having your hand back like that is key to balance control.

Easiest to do those with the boat slinging you out on a turn, check out the article by Shaun Murray on Transworld Wake's website about it:

Definitely doable with a stiff board, most DEFINITELY easier with a flex board. Get a nice cut outside the wake and try to rise up front foot and weight down back foot. Try it a bunch and you'll get the hang of it. A lot of fun, but surprisingly tiring Laughing
