Letting go of the rope!

Well I'm not a very good wakeboarder but the last two times out I kinda got bored with the wake to wake only. So I tried the wake to wake with a front board grab. I think I tried it about 8 times. This was the results. Front faceplants = 3
didnt clear the wake =1
landed it but let go of the rope either mid air or right when i landed= 4

Sorry no pics.

The one thing i want to try next time is keeping my eyes up. I just feel my weight is too far forward when i land making me shy and letting go of the rope. Any advice on grabbing and keeping my weight back for the landing or holding on to the rope is appreciated.

I'm no expert but I've heard that bringing the board up is better than reaching down for grabs.

Get in the air then bring the board up for the grab. The reason you're dropping short of clearing the wake is you're likely going for the grab way too early. Don't anticipate doing the trick. Get in the air then do the trick if it feels right.
