Ashley is an amazing rider. There has been a change in the personnel associated with the organizing body and sponsor. I don't believe there will be any cash prizes when it's staged, think of it more along the lines of a large grass roots event. _________________ Buy my kid's board!

Excellent......Thank you for the info. I guess it will be at Lake Hefner. We will drive there and maybe rent an RV and stay at the lake......if it's okay with the park people. Still got a few things to figure out. Thank you! Don _________________ If guns kill people, do pencils misspell words? |

WTF! I live in okc and I'm gonna miss this because I've had plans to go to brostock since January! Why would they do this the same weekend as brostock? This should be a very cool event though. Wish i could go to both. |

I talked to a guy out at the wake zone cable park in guthrie, ok and he said the cable part of this is going to be held there. They should start showing up on wed afternoon.
I wanted to try cable riding for my first time yesterday but the 40mph gust of wind stopped me from doing that. It looked like a cool setup though. |

I heard the cable will be up in Guthrie too, on the radio. Are the surfing portions going to be at the Oklahoma River? _________________ If love is blind, why is lingerie so popular? |

It sounded like thursday and friday they do the cable park and then move it to the river downtown for the surfing and wakeboarding. |

Yeah, we are headed to OKC in a few days. Friday from 1 pm on is practice. Then Saturday and Sunday is wakeboarding and wakesurfing. Saturday at 8:30 am is the riders meeting. That venue is on the Oklahoma River and the address is 1701 S Western Ave - it looks like it's over by the airport. _________________ Buy my kid's board!

surfdad,
Where exactly are you going to be each of the days? Maybe PM me. I'd love to meet you. We are probably going to go watch some and the boys would probably get a kick out of meeting your son (assuming he's in the surf comp). _________________ If love is blind, why is lingerie so popular? |

That would be great! We fly in tomorrow, late, but should be at the Oklahoma River site for practice on Friday afternoon and then Saturday and Sunday during the event. James loves talking with kids and adults alike, about wakesurfing and his board.
I'll shoot you a PM with my cell number and we can connect at the site. I don't think there will be all that many wakesurfers, so we should stand out of the crowd. _________________ Buy my kid's board!

We made it safe and sound! It's always interesting to travel to different places from California. As you move across the country, heading east, folks become more neighborly and the pace seems to slow down.
The wakesurfing component is supposed to be pulled by a new 21 Epic. Looking forward to testing that wake out. _________________ Buy my kid's board!

It was great meeting y'all too. You have a great family and I see the passion you have for the sport. Really cool! You're an inspiration to my wife and I to be surfing when we're (cough cough) old(er).
We enjoyed watching the wakeboarding too. The Hoffman sisters did well and so did the local junior pro men. There were some great younger rippers out there, as well. It would have been nice if it wasn't so windy.
Congrats to all of you for "making the podium". _________________ If love is blind, why is lingerie so popular? |
