After a year or two of telling myself that i was going to build a slider, and a few more trips to O-dub, this summer it will actually go down. I'll have all summer to build it, and my cousin to build with. We're planning on something pretty simple, probably a 30' with both ends angled. I'm just really excited that I'll be able to hit something solid, as well as boat ride... and hopefully really progress. Laughing

Anyone have any sweet builds planned this summer? I'd love to hear some ideas!

How long are you gonna make the sections? Is it going to be a 20ft rail with 5ft inclines? 10ft up, 10ft flat, 10ft down? 30 ft seems great for a flat bar or an incline to flat.

hmm.... not really sure yet. I want to be able to hit it from both sides, and also not have the inclines be too steep. It would probably be nice to have a longer flat to press/spin on, huh?

Really, you don't want the main part to be anything shorter than about 20'. I've hit a few 10' and 15' rails before and you just have enough time to bonk them really quick before you're back on the water.

I'd say the longer you can make the flat, the better. If it were me, I'd just build a 30' flat bar with no incline if it were me and just ollie on. Or a 20' incline rail.

a flat bar sounds like a pretty good idea. I'm sure it's even easier to build, and this way theres plenty of rrom to slide and tweak
