Binding Question (O'brien device)

I just bought a used O'brien Fluent 137 with device binding which are an universal OT binding set (which fits 4-10.5) from what I've read. I am a size 12 and can fit in them fine, they don't seem overly tight, but my toes stick out the front of the binding a ways. My question is will this affect how I ride and be a problem?

You can ride but it's going to likely get unfomfortable. Plus the bindings may be more prone to failure due to the added stress of a bigger foot. I can also see the possibility of your feet actually slipping out the front if it's not properly in the foot bed and that is no fun for ankles (by no fun I mean potentially pulled/broken).

You can get away with learning how to get up, cruising around and basic turns, but once you add jumping in to the mix I would suggest getting something that fits as a matter of not only comfort, but safety.

Edit: Mentioned some bindings I could have sold you cheap but forgot I already got rid of them. haha

Whatever is affordable/comfortable and most importantly, what fits. Until you invest in a high-quality board it's not going to make a huge difference. People have boots on the classified section of the site here all the time, keep an eye out for something in your size and you can likely get a good deal.

Like I mentioned, you'll be ok in those for now if you want to get started, but if you plan on progressing and making it a regular thing, get a better boot.
