So I've been playing with my system a bit and struggling to get it to sound as good as I think it can. I think I may be taking a wrong approach in the process. Can some you stereo guru's offer some advise?

I have the system set up with 4 cabin speakers (6.5" Clarion Coax's) on a 4 channel amp with HP or LP filter.

I have a sub on its own amp, bridged and running LP.

I have tower speakers on a two channel amp that also has the HP and LP capability.

I am running the Clarion 7 band parametric eq.

Thoughts on a process to follow and whether I should use a music CD or a test CD? I want to make sure I can crank the system pretty loud and minimize low frequencies to the tower speakers and cabin speakers.

You should tune each zone separate by disconnecting the others. Once you have each zone dialed in hook them all up together and see how it sounds. If you check out the manual for ws420 on wetsounds website they have a nice walk thru on tuning the system.

The WS420 guide was referred to on another forum. I ended up following that and it turned out pretty good. It is quite a bit louder than last year.

I've had my WS420 for a year and still don't have it installed. Should have that fixed in the next few weeks. Your install thread is awesome.. great looking work. Glad you were able to get everything tuned to your liking.
