I have a faded red tower on my 2001 malibu vlx I would like to paint it metallic silver of some sorts has any one painted one themselves with good results I would love to hear what you used

I painted mine. I am auto painter so it was easy for me. What you would want to do is grab some 600 wet sand paper and wet sand it. Use a HVLP paint gun to paint it. You are going to want to put on med wet coats and let it dry between coats 5-10 min. Go to any automotive paint store in your area and they will be able to help you and give you tech sheets. PPG is okay, Glasurit is better. Use base/clear

I had mine powdercoated this winter. You can pick the color and it is worth the money in my opinion. It cost me 225 for sandblasting and everything! 3 day turnaround.

Yeah powder coat would be nice I guess the price isn't too bad I will have to see if I can find someone around to do it

powder coating is the way to go for sure, cheaper than paint and way more durable too.
