Best bang for your buck in my view is Fusion and their RA 200 or IP 600 (Depending on what you want).

What's the budget and what features are you after?

I already have 6 speakers and a sub with power amp... just need a decent head that has AUX in the front and a wired remote. The BOSS has that for 170.00... but it may be a piece of junk... I would say under 200.00

Look around and find a Pioner DEH-4200UB and a CD-MR70 wired remote. The HU has three hi-volt pre-outs, USB & AUX in on the faceplate. USB also supports ipod. With a bit of frugal looking you can get both for around $200. I have that unit as well as two of the remotes and they work well.

I found a Pyle that I like... MP3, and remote... no cd player. My concern is that it is a "pyle". Anyone had one before?

Boss and Pyle are junk, cheap, bottom of the barrel brands.

Yea... I figured... but my boat being as old as it is... it gets hard to justify dumping a ton of cash into a stereo you know.

BOSS is pretty sweet. My buddy has one I'll have to get the details from him on which one he has.

I am a former car audio installer but I still do side jobs and keep myself up to date in the industry, I just contacted Pioneer and waiting to hear back to see if they offer a marine grade head unit line, I install Pioneer exclusively in cars and I put an entry level model in my boat but over time it's developed corrosion and some functions have stopped working, I'll let you all know what they tell me

Thank you for contacting Pioneer Electronics, Inc.

We do not have headunits exclusively for marine use, however we do offer a waterproof stereo cover. Please see address below:
