that looks like an easy way to level the boat out, let alone for surfing. way easier than moving people, ballast, coolers around the boat on the fly!

Do you mean trim tabs?
Most bigger boats and go-fast boats have trim tabs. Some people say they will flatten your wake out but I think that depends on where they're installed.

trim tabs are for your boats attitude in the water. (how much the bow is up or down) they both move at the same time in the same direction. if you could keep one up, and one down, and flat, or both up a little when they are in the neutral position. have one switch to operate both. move it left, the boat will rise on the right and dip on the left, move it right, the boat will rise on the left, and dip on the right.

All the trim tabs I've seen are controlled independently.

There are also Smart Tabs, for smaller boats, that automatically adjust like shock absorbers.

Really? They look like trim tabs from here.

Apparently they are adjusted with a switch like you explained, kartman. Cool, but I don't think it's very revolutionary.

i dont think it is revolutionary either. but for boats that have a deaper v (like most i/o's), it would work out great for balancing the boat out rather than moving people, coolers, and sacks around.

I seem to recall a Mastercraft salesman telling me a few years ago "We don't have to mess with adding things like trim tabs (like a sportsboat) because the hulls are made right in the first place... You'll never see that kind of stuff on a MasterCraft, it's just something else to go wrong"

The hulls are designed very well for Wakeboarding, but for the people who also desire a boat that is Surf Friendly at the push of a button use these and of course some extra weight.

What they do is just extend the surfablility of the wake back about 10 feet or so. They really dont create a bigger wake or shape it any better however the hull is designed very well.
