If this has been covered a million times... sorry... but can anyone give me some direction as to how to make one?

get a toilet plunger and and a hose fitting. Take a look at this pic, pretty self explanatory

I found it was easier on my DD to just pull the hose off the strainer in the engine department and clamp the water-hose into the same spot.

ditto. about 7 buck from Home depot wil fix u up. u dont have to worry about the plunger getting knocked off.
