Power Window Motor on a Jeep Grand Cherokee?

Anyone ever replaced one of these? How hard is it to get the door panel off, I've heard they are notorious for going out...?

Thge guys at www.jeepsunlimited.com forums are great. I am sure someone there can give you all the info you need. I have done a lot of work on my GC with help from there.

Have had to do this twice now... terrible design in the 2002 model I have. The door panel isn't too bad, just a few screws, just be careful not to snap the yellow pins. I found a website through a google search that pretty much had step by step instructions. I'll see if I can find it after i take my last final in an hour.

First I replaced the motor, then I had to replace the regulator because the cables that coil up got super tangled and ripped out of the regulator. I could hear the motor still humming but the glass just slid right down.

Once you figure out how to get the panel off and remove necessary parts to access the motor you should be fine.

I ended up ordering my parts from partsgeek.com for a good price
