hey guys I really want to get a winch but their too expensive how much would it cost to make my own and how difficult is it? around a 6.5hp ... i want simple and cheap. thanks guys

can you get any parts for free? if not are you willing to use generic parts (ie: harbor freight etc)? if you are willing to use generic parts you can probably build it for $600 - $800, if none of your riders are heavy then a CC should be fine instead of a TAV and save about $150, you'll need to know how to weld unless you figure out how to bolt it together, you'll need to be able to drill holes and use other power tools
