How long will he play?

I personally don't care for the guy and am sure this is his last season. Depending on how poor the Vikings do, I won't be surprised if he doesn't finish the season.

If they aren't in the playoff hunt, I bet he has "ankle problems" and quits on the team before the end of the season.

A broken Favre is still better than a fully healthy T. Jackson having a 'career' day...

I don't have any issues with Favre. The season he put together last year should earn him some respect from even the most anti-Favre person. He's like a lot of sports greats, they don't know when to call it quits. I always wonder how many anti-Favre people also dislike Jordan.

I say this is it. I think he'll play out the season and call it quits. From what I've seen and read, his ankle is pretty messed up, so he may not make it through the year. Either way it works out, he's had a hell of a career and I think the Vikings have been better with him than they would have been without him.

He's playing like crap because he missed so many practices this summer. If he'd pull his head out of his butt and go to camps when everyone else does, and not hold off as long as possible to get the most ESPN coverage - he'd be playing better. Yes, he's old. Yes, he's bruised. But he'd have much better connections with his receivers if he'd been there all summer practicing with them.

I agree with Aubs. The practice makes a huge difference in the timing aspect working with receivers. I think he wants to keep playing as long as he can and he'll keep dragging it out until he can't take it anymore. I don't agree with the way he's handled things the last few years, but that's his choice. Ultimately he loves the game and I think he wants to hang on as long as possible.

Sinkoumn, Last year I would have agreed with this statement but not this year. Favre is finally starting to look his age and I actually think that the vikings would be better off playing Jackson. Favre just doesn't have the same fire in his eyes he used to...probably because he knows he made the wrong decision by coming back and wishes he was watching football on Sundays.
