ive been told that since im not realeasing my back hand im not doing a tantrum, i dont really care that someone from youtube says its not good enough, because im not doin tournaments or anyhting.
Looks like a tantrum to me. It's not how many hands you have on the handle, people just let go with one to square up to the wake and make it a little easier/cleaner.
It's all about the rotation and the means of getting there. It's a trip-flip edge from your heelside, therefore, a tantrum.

referred to as a frantrum when ya dont let go with your back hand it gives the front flip look. however the basics and execution of the trick i just saw are trantrum like. letting go with the back hand just gets rid of confusion on the spectators stand point. It also frees up the hand to do say an Indy Trantrum. _________________ who wants in on the million dollar idea?
Keep practicing. Waiting to ride up the wake more should help a bit. It should give you a cleaner/floatier release from the water. You'll go higher and it won't pull you forward as hard.
