I just ordered 2 new speakers, a sub and an amp... any experts out there for wiring directions???

I should mention... i have curently 2 5x7's wired to a pioneer...

we can certainly help. Would help if we had some more information however. Model numbers always come in handy, but at a minimum, we will need to know the following (if you don't know, we can figure this out with the model numbers).

How many channels does the amp have?
How many preamp outputs does your head unit have?
Does the amp have LPF and HPF switches?
Is the sub single or dual voicecoil? What is the impedance (ohms) of each voicecoil?

Well... I flew blind... got it hooked up...was up till 11:30 doing it. All 4 OHM, 2 channel amp bridged to run sub as well... sounds great.

I never considered it till I ran it dead in the lake... LOL... I do have the amp on it's own toggle... so I kill it while chilling. I ran the 5x7's direct to the radio... which does not zap the battery. So, when we fire up... I hit the amp... works pretty good!
