Got a deal on two used Hyperlight boards. Trying to figure out which to start my son on. He is 5'7" ish and 115 to 120 lbs. One is a 131cm board and the other is a 134cm.

Also, we have a couple of things going against us. One is we boat on Lake Michigan which generally is far from flat and two, I'll be towing with a bridle behind a center console. Any tips for rough water and or towing without a tower?

Thanks. -- Bud

I don't know anything about the great lakes.... BUT... choose your times wisely, early or late, or on a calm day if it exists. try sticking close to shore, where chop won't be as bad. Also, towing with the wind behind you makes rough water seem better. Good Luck

Thanks Guys. Used the 134cm board due mostly to the size of the bindings and managed to get him up. Spend an hour Saturday AM and Sunday AM -- then another session Sunday PM and he finally got it dialed in. His smile was huge... Now just practice practice practice

And working with his younger brothers and my nieces and nephews...

Thanks again for all the great tips on this board. Wouldn't have got him up so quickly without this resource. -- Bud
