I recently received a bonus of $1000 and decided I should pick up a couple of wakeboards with it. I'm getting into wakeboarding and want to get a few boards to ride. The problem I ran into was what boards to get. I originally thought that I should get a board with less pop to build up the basics on but would not outgrow as well as a board that had a huge amount of pop, but I don't know if I should do that or just get two good boards that have a lot of pop that have different traits. I'm planing on searching for deals on ebay, used, etc. cause I want stuff that will last a while and is quality. As far as boots are concerned, I want to be able to choose between open toed and closed toed and Ronix seemed to be really comfortable on me so I thought that i might get either ronix open cells or ones for closed toed and devides or districts for open. As far as boards go I don't know where to start. I know that Ronix, Liquid Force, Hyperlite and Slingshot are supposed to be good but as far as their descriptions go they all seem the same to me. Based on the reviews the Ronix one seems to be a good choice but I heard about them delaminating which doesn't work well with my need for durability.

Basically, I want two boards with one set of open toed and one set of closed toed bindings that are both comfortable and have a $1000 budget. One board to build up the basics that I will not be able to outgrow and one with a huge amount of pop. If you were in my shoes what would you get?
