So what am I doing wrong? I feel like I'm progressively edging thru the wake, I just always seem to land on the other wake and that sucks. In the video, the one time I let go of the rope, I made it across. I can't seem to figure out what i did differently in the two attempts, (except let go of the rope.) Any suggestions?

You're edging way too fast into the wake. You gotta flatten out for a few seconds and then edge in progressively. The reason you aren't getting a W2W is because your line gets slack in the middle of your edge. Start with a nice and smooth edge in and make sure you have the most aggressive edge when you hit the wake. You also need to stand up tall once you hit the top of the wake.

Watch this video and look how he does a nice, smooth progressive edge:

Yeah, you're definitely NOT using a progressive edge. You're turning, charging, and hucking it across the wake. Slow down your approach, gradually build your edge, and think more about launching yourself UP rather than OVER. Also concentrate on maintaining tension on the line, keep both hands on the handle and keep the handle low and close to your hip.

Once you get past the long dramatic intro, the video WhackedRampage posted has some great info.
