A pair of sst-65s & a syn micro will set you back about $850. That's about as cheap as you'll get with wetsounds. Keep in mind, you'll spend at least $100 on cables. _________________ http://www.youtube.com/greasemonkeytv |

A better answer would be a good quality HLCD speaker (Wetsounds, Exile, NVS, Bullet) The SST65 is not an HLCD, your volume at 65' will be dissappointing. I just went through this, trying to use a coaxial speaker on towers, the result is not nearly as good as an HLCD. Wetsounds are fine, but get the Pro60. Best advice is to get behind a boat, on the water, not in an audio store parking lot (like I did) and see if they are audible enough for you. _________________ 2009 MB Sports B52 TWB |

I am with yellj, for tower speakers, save up and get the HLCD. For listening in the cove and partying, the coax tower speakers will do just fine. For reaching your rider, HLCD is by far superior. If you are mostly listening to your stereo while stationary and close to the boat, you might actually want to go with the coax, since some people complain that the HLCD sound harsh. Personally, I think they sound just fine, and certainly are the best option for riding. |

trolan, Keep in mind the mids to lows are the first to go with distance. You can hear them crystal clear at 80' but don't expect your chest to thump with the bass hit, cause its not going to happen. _________________ Whenever I see an $80,000 Wakesetter pulling a tuber, I die a little inside. |

I beg to differ with you ryan, a pair of pro 485 wetsounds powered with enough juice can restart your heart with the mid bass and horns out 80 feet easy! I know this because I own a pair powered up properly. |

M`honri, ok with two pro-485s but not with two pro-60s or even pro-80s which is in his price range. _________________ Whenever I see an $80,000 Wakesetter pulling a tuber, I die a little inside. |
