Anyone in or around the Dallas area want to hook up for some drinkskis next week? I'm staying in Iriving

Get in on Sunday night until Thursday morning. Tuesday is looking from open during the day if you have fun ideas to play hookey.

I was going to say we're having a party next weekend with a few occasional posters from here, but it sounds like it doesn't overlap.

The rest of next week I'm working on projects I need to complete before the party!

Bob's Steak and Chop House is always a winner. There's one off Main St. in Grapevine, just up hwy 114 from Irving. Aside from that there are others a bit further away... Del Frisco (one in Dallas and another in Ft. Worth), Three Forks (Plano/Addison area).

Cool River is pretty close to you too. Haven't been there in a while but they serve some pretty good food.

Also, if you like beers on patios, I suggest you head to uptown. It’s not terribly far from where you are but there is a lot of "scenery" around.

Alter Ego, there's a million other places w/i 15 min of you to go w/ a million times better scenery (like pk's other rec, uptown). and your original question asked for a steak place for clients - i know you're a big shot, so no, cool river is not where you would take clients for steak. happy hour cocktails, maybe.

if you are still looking, that bob's chop house rec is solid - some of the best steak in dallas.

Check out Black Friar. Great patio. Also, if you are looking to really drink. Go to The Loon. They pour them very strong there.
