Hi, I'm a new at wakeboarding and I'm hoping if I can get a little help from you guys. So the thing is this:
I'm buying wake board plus binding packages and I can't seem to pick a setup from the poll choices. I am a cable rider and I never get to ride on a boat since that would be too expensive.
I plan to go at least once a week on a cable skii park and I plan to train on sliders and kickers. In terms of durability, can I count on these boards?
Please help me decide guys. I'll appreciate it alot.
My weight is 160-167 pounds by the way.
My height is 5"6 tall.
My riding level is beginner-intermediate.
I plan to wake board at cable ski parks.

If you could post your size, weight and riding level it would help narrow it down. _________________

I appreciate the reply. I posted my weight and height at the start of the post. My riding level is beginner - intermediate. Leaning more on the beginner side. I know toeside, heelside, switches, etc. |

Ok, I see you edited your post. At your weight the 134's are gonna be on the short side. Some do prefer a shorter board, but I never cared for 'em. One of the kids that comes out with us has the motive 134 and really likes it, he's 13 and still growing so the 134 is a bit big for him. I taught the kid to ride last year, and he progressed fast on that board.
Maybe some of the cable guys around can give you more insight on the shorter board thing. I ride a 141 and have tried a 136, it was more difficult to get out of the water on, and felt sluggish when riding. Maybe cable is different, I dunno since I only ride behind a boat. _________________

I see. I think from what I read, I would like to try shorter boards since it will allow me to do more tricks and feel more light. Thanks for the in put though. I'll make sure to ask some people from the park. |

The best thing to do if you are renting boards, it to try out different sizes and shapes and see what works for you. See if the rental shop has a demo program so you can ride and compare different boards/bindings, that would be ideal. _________________

I'm pretty sure most cable parks have rentals, at least when I looked a the website for the 1 in K.C. they had a rental shop. _________________
