Currently my girlfriend is riding a 136 LF Jett, however she finds it too big and bulky for her to control. She is only being 5'3 110 pounds.

So we are looking into buying a new board. Looking at the 130 LF Riot or the 133 LF Luna. Not sure if she will notice a difference between a 136 and 133 or she will need to go to the 130 to see a difference.

I know the Riot has good reviews but not sure about the Luna.

Any suggestions...?

my wife rides a 08 hyperlite syn... 132... she loves it... Continuous rocker, great shape and edges... thing even has a spine in the center to soften the landings...

I bought this board for her right after the first time she got up... she was doing boardslides, surface 180's, and riding switch after about 3-4 times out.... The board really helped her progress... verry versitile / blanced board.

Yeah that was the 3rd board she was considering. BUt she really thinks she would like a smaller board and in all likelyhood, will end up with a 130 Riot.

May I ask what size your wife is that rides the 132 Syn (not sure if thats not pollite, dont mean to offend) just trying to get the board she will enjoy most this time around.

not offended at all! She is 5'5", 110lbs....

She will NEVER be able to tell the difference between a 130 and a 132... Thats like 3/4" difference

Ok, the Syn is looking more and more like the choice since she is set on either 09 HL Edens or 08 LF Wings her stance options would be rather limited on a 2009 LF Riot.

I am correct about the limited stance options on those combos?

Thanks

I think 09 LF boots went to a 6" spacing...so fitting them on older boards limits the stance. Check this...

Have you considered the LF Angel? It's a fantastic little board! Or anything from the Ronix line up? The Faith Hope Love is the lightest profile board on the market and is awsome - that's my board of choice. Although I do ride a 136 and have the same stats as your wife.

Personally I find the Hyperlites very heavy in comparison to LF or Ronix.

After all was said and done, she did her own reseach and ended up with a 131 Hyperlite Blur which she loves and has Ronix Rise bindings on order.

Colour was a consideration when ordering a board. Rolling Eyes

LOL - yup that's the way us girlies roll! Although my last board was a Blur and I hated it! Was glad to get shot of it in the end.
