Hello everyone. First post here.
This is my '97 Four Winns Horizon (QX?) 170. The hull was pretty scraped up when I got it but the motor ran great. Was missing the windshield. Upholstery in bow was OK but the capt's chairs need work and the back seat is missing.
Last year I painted it and put on the windshield.
This year I plan on building a custom tower (I got into wakeboarding last year too!) and redoing the trailer. Maybe some upholstery.
Let me know what you think! |

If you don't mind me asking how is the paint holding up? That boat looks sweet by the way. My father-n-law owns a body shop and we have kicked around painting or wrappign our boat. |

I think you remind me of that little kid with the boomerang in Road Warrior. |

@walb, the paint is holding up great. It is all automotive base/clear. I work with a few body shops and they give me leftover paints. Any similar colors I just mix together. I did have to buy the orange though. As I think about it it's been two years since the paint job. It's garage kept in winter.
@chatt, I assume you mean the little boy (my son)? If he had ever seen the movie, he would take that as a compliment. He's a Karate/weapons enthusiast.
Thanks Okie!
Any ideas on how to do my tower? |

Looks good. I painted mine with base/clear, and it has held up great. _________________ www.shredthreadsink.com |

Boat/paint looks great! Really impressive for a DIY job (at least from this distance).
I'm not sure how much more I'd invest into the boat though if you're really getting into wakeboarding. I would definitely recommend an inboard for wakeboarding (not an inboard/outboard, a straight up inboard). _________________ You have just entered the twilight zone. |
