Yeah, I'm gonna eventually get to mine. Like I said, the floor panel over the prop shaft dry rotted. So I'll do that this saturday. I'll just re-use the existing carpet on it. This fall/winter I think i'm gonna swap out all the carpet. Hopefully I'll have a new digital camera by then. Definately need to take pics.

boat is done for the season. Was out one day and decided to go for a slalom set throug hthe course on our lake....yell out the old "giver".....oh let me tell you shave gave!!!

So now the boat is in for repairs. Dampler plate went kaboom and mashed up the flywheel pretty good!! i h ope that solves the little sluggish starts out of the hole shot too, lol seemed to get worse and worse then she went sky high haha!!

but im sending out biiig props to www.skidim.com, got me a damper plate shipped to my house in canada for under 300 bucks, and the best deal i could find up here was 550!!! so thanks again if anyone is on the site from there. Great company to deal with.

are you ready for spring???! What the heck is a damper plate?

I rebuilt my rear bench seat so i could put a sac under it. The carpet was just stapled to the wood. I assume when you take the carpet off the actual FLOOR, wasn't it glued? I mean how did that process work? And if you wanna keep this thread going we are gonna need more party pics. Twisted Evil

Haha, no worries. As soon as the snow melts up here I will get the camera out as I start the 'Spring Shine'. Party pics to come my friend, no worries there!

A damper plate is like a combination of a clutchplate and a torque converter built into one. It looks just like a clutch disc, but acts like a torque converter. Mine shattered into a hungdred pieces in the bellhousing haha. The carb is being re-built too, had some real troubles with the floats continuously getting stuck open and the darn thing flooding out so theres another repair. Hey, she's almost 25 years old, things are bound to starting breaking!!

bigkitch- Thats a sweet looking comp.

kartman- The old Supras have the same running gear as Correct Craft. They also share the same rot problems. They are great boats but you must inspect the floor and stringers carefully its a big job to replace them. You can search the Supra forum for details on how to check. I have owned my 89 since new its been an
incredible boat.

Suprahunter,

That boat is a Jem. Always love seeing pictures of that thing around. And to think, a 1 owner boat, almost unheard of now a days lol

Looks great man.

kartman,

I love my 85 Comp. Been some issues here and there, but I mean, this boat hardly seens any use. We use it maybe 2-3 weeks of the year, and it sits for the other 50. And during those 2 weeks, its always being run hard for wakeboarding and slalom skiing. Great starter boat though, have such a classic design to them, IMO.

Wow discovered this forum by accident and it might be just what I'm looking for? I'm in the process of doing a restoration on my 86 Supra. Any chance I might be able to contact you and ask you some questions? Hardest part is finding information?
Appreciate any help you can give me? Thanks
