Any suggestions for a good material to pad the board racks in my boat? I've got a custom tower; the racks are basically half or one inch pipes/tubes. I've been using pipe insulation, but it degrades (I'm guessing from the sun) and it's tough to get into the "crotch" of the rack;) where the tubes meet.
I'm thinking something like a heavy rubber weatherstripping I can put on there, but if anyone has used something that works well it'd be appreciated.

Grip tape? I'm sure you can find some gasket material that is adhesive backed that could work.
