I'm going to do the deck in a more abstract pattern so I don't have to worry about symmerty! I found a design I liked in the current surf magazine, so I'll try and reproduce that.
It's an American flag theme, so I lay down the base coat in white. _________________ Buy my kid's board!

The nose will have star patterns and the tail will have red and white jagged stripes. I cut the tape for the red and white stripes on a big sheet of skatelite - left over from a half pipe. The skatelite is very slippery and hard, the tape sticks to it until I want it up! I'll let the white base coat firm up over night and do the red tomorrow. _________________ Buy my kid's board!

LOL - Oh no! Is it?! The weather isn't cooperating with me for the clear coat, the wind is howling and that will give me all sorts of goodies stuck in the clear. Once the wind stops, I'll shoot the clear. _________________ Buy my kid's board!

This is the catalyzed clear, if you look at the bottom you'll see the stem. The bottom of the can has the catalyst. There is a red button on the top that is used to depress the stem, which them mixes the catalyst into the clear coat. The only issue is that once it's mixed, the clear coat only has a working life of 24 hours. I'll need enough "working" time to coat both sides several times. Keeping my fingers crossed for the weekend. _________________ Buy my kid's board!
