rathys new board

has anyone here rode it? looking to pick up a new board this season and am lost on what to get

When I get a new board my decisions are between Rathys, the one, and the marek in the special core

i have ridden rathys new board the conspiracy. in a nut shell its like the perfect mix between the marek and the monarch, the last two boards i rode. its fast like the marek, but doesnt ride as angry and razor-like, its much smoother. its got the floaty feeling in neutral like the monarch, but faster on edge (gets to the wake quicker) and absolutely slams off the wake, but more up than out (like the monarch, opposite of the marek which i felt went more out than up). super thin, fast release off the wake, easy to spin. plus you can hardly break it. solid glass rope edges and deck inlays combine with abs fins. fins are so tough they actually shave down the kickers instead of the kickers shaving down the fins. to me its the perfect "everything" board, and the clear choice for me after just one 20min boat set. check it out, you wont be disappointed.

ideally i would love to get the conspiracy but being in Australia it is just to expensive. I can get a good deal on the 09 assault though, is it a lot slower than the conspiracy? I was riding a 06 substance but that just felt sluggish to me, way to slow

I got the assault last weekend. Have only ridden it on cable so far but as of now, it is amazing. Good speed, soft landings, boots off kickers, slides well, and has some flex in the tip and tail. The best part about it is that it only has molded fins, no fin holes which I'm sure add some strength to the board. It is basically a premier that has been upgraded with all of the flaws
taken out with a little boost of steroids. I got the 55" (140) and I know it shouldn't matter but the graphics are really sick on it as well. Probably my favorite graphics of any board thus far. I didn't even demo it. I was at performance with the goal of walking out with a new board and when I saw this one, I picked it up, spun it around, looked her over and brought it right to the register. Price wasn't too bad at $420 compared to these dine core boards and other special core boards out there. Taking it on the boat this afternoon. Going to weight the boat down this morning and gas it up so right when my buddy gets here, we will be good to go!!
