So this summer I'm planning on doing some serious backpacking in an area of the thick bush in the world. I would really like to document some of my experiences and I've been looking at the Flip HD camera and it has gotten almost universal positive reviews.

What I need is something small to pack, readily accessible to start recording at a moments notice, and ease of use when editing video (noob at video editing)

Any suggestions would be great. I'm not super into the "ultra-lite backpacking," but obviously I like my pack size to be as sleek as possible.

Any backpacker hotels near sm megamall or mtr line manila? I'm looking for victoria court hotel or sogo hotel branches near sm megamall or along the mtr line of ortigas or shaw bolevard. Flying by Tiger Airways so will only land at Clark but will take free shuttle to sm megamall. First time travelling to manila so really need advice.

Kodak ZX6 is what I have. It keeps the editing software on board so when you use the integrated usb it works on any PC. I think they are going for $70 now. Nice HD camera IMO.
