|
So it was a beautiful Tues. afternoon and me and my brother went out riding at our favorite little spot. There was only one other boat on the water and when I first saw it I thought they were tubing. Well, we happened to be changing riders at the same end of the lake, and while I was strapping in I saw the guys in the other boat throw a wakeskate into the water. Since I've been thinking about WS'ing I just sat on the back of the boat to watch. The rider tried 3-4 times to get up un-successfully, and after that he laid down belly first on the skate and they took off. His buddy was dragging him all the way around the lake, ON HIS STOMACH I was like WTF??? He even drug him through my chop a few times, I can still see that poor guy bashing through the waves with his face, I still get a good laugh out of it when I think of that poor dude. The even funnier part is that there was 2 guys on the boat, and they took turns doing this. I just thought I would share that with the WS'ers in here.......I REALLY need a video camera. _________________

JeffreyCH, that's pretty ridiculous. I can't imagine the beating your chest or face would take doing that. Hopefully it was a foam skate. _________________ You have just entered the twilight zone. |

Wakebrad, No doubt
We did try to catch up to 'em to see if they wanted to try getting up behind my boat with a tower, but they were too busy bashing their faces into the water, and then went to tubing. _________________

lol I can picture what your saying
JeffreyCH, The wakeskate is definetly worth trying I regularly wakeboard and still will but I love hitting a few sets on the wakeskate really helped with my boardslides and riding switch. If you want to learn a new trick the wakeskate is the way to go |

I will admit to having goofed off on a wakeskate before. I started out laying down thinking that I would be able to get up. When I wiped out trying to stand the grip tape scraped me up. I am sure if we had foam top, I would have kept trying stupid things.
This all stemed from having nothing better to do on a camping trip once we were to tired to wakeboard anymore late in the day. Now my buddy has a boat big enough to surf behind, so our doing "Stupid Things Behind A Boat" days are probably over since we just surf now. |

haha, my friend couldnt get up on our surf board (he's a pretty big guy) so he just decided to lay flat on it and let us tow him around... the tip of the board smacked him in the face a couple times but he didnt let go haha, we were probably going 26 at the fastest point _________________ 09' Byerly Assault 55" + 09' Ronix Frank
