Anyone watch?
I am a big MJ fan and have to say I was squirming with his speech. The last 1/4 was pretty good, loved the Bryon Russell stuff, especially with the Stockton and Sloan facial response.
In the end, IMO, he was less polished, about as arrogant as it gets and almost abrasive?

and still to this day, no "formal" acknowledgment to krauss' accomplishments or putting the bulls championship teams together.
i really don't care if he does or not...i'll always be a jordan fan.

I know it shouldn't bother me, but take the damn hoop out of your ear. You're 46 years old on the biggest night of your post-retirement life. I didn't see Stockton up there in nut-hugging jean shorts. Class it up a little.

I think the part that bothered me was the casual swear.
"I know I shocked the stuff outta him."
MJ is there with his family, Stockton and his 100 kids are there, everybody else is there with their kids too, and a lot of 'em probably still idolize him. That's street talk, you should show a little more respect than that for something like a HOF induction.

It was awesome to grow up here in Utah and watch John Stockton play basketball. He doesn't have hoopla, fancy arm sleeves or And1 moves. He played with a lot of simple fundamentals that were well mastered. One thing I didn't know about him though was that he never hired an agent. He did his contract negotiations directly with Larry Miller (the Jazz owner). That surprised me since so many athletes today have agents and whatnot.
It will be neat to see Karl Malone next year (I'm assuming he's in). He came from super humble beginnings and established an incredible career.

jumalian, not classless....just not classy enough for the night and the company he was among. In general, if you see a 46 year old wearing an earing, don't you assume he's a loser?

nope. i just don't judge people for what they wear, no matter who or how old they are. it's their perogative.

you're right. i'd say a hall of fame induction with the likes of david robinson, john stockton, and jerry sloan on national TV has a much more strict dress code.
it's whatever. it doesn't change how i view his amazing career...just reinforces the belief that he thinks he's bigger than the game.
