It was the hardest trick for me to learn. I just had my back foot on the tail of the board by the edge and my front foot hanging off about a few inches and on the middle of the board.right when I popped I would slide my foot to the upper toeside corner of the board. I hope that made sense I suck at describing things |

heelflips are easy to learn, you just need to put the time in. put your back foot in the back corner of the board. have your front foot 3/4 of the way up the board with your toes slightly hanging off. kick down like you would for an ollie, slide your front foot up and off the side of the board near the little dip. _________________ i love lamp. Put your back foot as you would an ollie and your front foot hanging off the board just a tad, nothing too crazy. Ollie as you would normally but instead of sliding your foot straight up slide it up and to the outside edge of your board. Suck up your feet and watch the board spin under you, put your feet down when you see the grip.

kotch, I would have to disagree about back foot placement. If you ride regular your backfoot goes on the left side of the board. if you ride goofy id goes on the right side. or you can think heelside edge. You want your front foot 3/4 up and I like to feel the bal of my foot on the edge of the board. Now comes the tricky part to learning this trick. Do NOT kick out in front of you. This will make the board go straight up and in between your legs 80% of the time. You want to focus on getting your liitle toe to hit the nose of the board. this will flip the board and level it out. You want your backfoot out of the way now and unlike the kickflip this trick should be very easy to pop high and catch early when you first learn them. It took me about an 1 hour to get these down. _________________
