*re-named the thread becuase my first title didn't make sense*

So it turns out 'Grind' Series actually means 'Holds up for 3 or 4 months then the edges of the board begin to split'. (In it's defense though, the base is still hardly showing signs of wear!)

Any tips on what I can use to best protect some developing holes on the edges of my relatively new Witness Grind? I just want to keep water out because other than this, it seems like a solid board (and I really can't afford a new one right now).
