i have a 98 sunsetter vlx with 400# v drive sacks and it doesnt put out a big enough wake for surfing can anybody help me set my boat up for surfing

get 2 more sacks, at least 400# each, one for the bow and one for the surf side. Yes, it is usually important to weight the bow to plant the hull in the water instead of plowing with all the weight in the back. Empty the non-surf side v-drive sack, put all passengers (at least 4) on the surf side, start at 10 mph and go from there. If you have the wedge, try it both ways - some use it and some don't depending on which side you are surfing. Shift the weight forward and back, speed up a little, slow down a little, have fun working with it.
