Here's some pics. only thing wrong with it is the trailer is really rusted! The dealer is working on getting it repaired or possibly replaced.
I am picking it up in June! 25K

Awsome man. You're going to love that boat. I had one for a few years.
Check to make sure the impeller is in good shape. Also make sure your bilge pump works. EVERY time you put your boat up, pull the drain plug in the center. This boat has a tendency to store water in the nose when it rains if you leave it outside. The transmission has a vent located really low on housing, and if you have enough water in the boat when you back down the ramp to launch it, if there's a bunch of water in the nose/hull area, it will rush back to the rear and over the transmission vent - this will let water get into your tansmission. If that happens (don't ask me how), the seal in your transmission will fail. The only way to fix the $20 seal is to either pull the motor or have someone who really knows their stuff finagle one in there.
I had the bilge pump go out on my old xstar. It rained, and filled the nose up with some water, which didn't bilge out on the way to the ramp. I backed mine in and next thing I know it won't for forwards or reverse. I looked into the hull and there was pepto looking pink stuff everywhere. Luckily MC fixed it under warranty for me. I ended up with a whole new tranny.
Also, I'd consider pulling the hard ballast tanks out of the rear and replacing them with 540lb sacks. I ended up doing that because one of my tanks cracked. The sacks plug right into the stock fittings. It takes about 2 seconds to pull the tanks out btw.
Anyway. Good luck. This is one of the best boats ever made for wakeboarding!

Get him to check the impeller pumps, the all of the switches on the dash, the gas gauge (mine went out), the depth finder (the transducers have a tendence to fail), the speedos, perfect pass, look for stress fractures at the tower feet, check to see if the exhaust hoses are stiff - if they are pretty flexable, the boat has been overheated before, look for any pink spots on the vinyl. Some '01 = '02 MC's had an issue with the light color vinyl discoloring. If there are pink spots on the vinyl, there is no way to clean them, and they will only spread. Just be prepared. If that's the case, see if the dealer will let you buy a set of skins for cost ($1500).
Next, you need to pull that old school decal off and replace it with a newer style xstar decal. I did that and it looked awsome.

I had an 01 x-10 and they should have fixed that vent issue on warrenty. If they didn't I beleive Mastercraft will still fix the issue. If the boat was serviced by a MC dealer it should be all good.
NICE Boat. I just got mine out of storage so hopefully next week we'll put it inthe water to see if she floats. My buddy picked up a 09 Xstar so we'll be riding behind that this weekend. hoping for good weather.
have fun with the new boat. Looks like a great one

| Nice looking boat! Glad to see you found a deal. Did you buy it out of Texas? Shipping it up or driving down to get her?

| Yep, Driving down to get it. Im waiting to hear back from the dealer about the trailer. It's rusted bad, which makes me nervous about driving all the way back. They are looking into repairing it as part of the sale.
