Looks pretty sweet, I wish they showed more of the interior and different functions of the car but I'm hopeful this really shifts gears in innovation.

I love the bit about Sergei being a "local entrepreneur".

That's pretty cool. I don't see how they claim to seat 7. Looks like normal sedan seating to me..

Weird they asked that guy "if he could afford it?" What was he supposed to say?

How much are those things going for anyway?

Good looking car! I also hope this technology takes off. Good for Tesla. Maybe they'll eventually become part of the "Big Three" one day.

I think we discussed this car in another thread. I would totally rock one of these.

Wakebrad, ditto. Where exactly do 7 people fit?

They are just under $50k after the federal rebate. Surprisingly affordable for a Tesla.
Also, they aren't really showing the seating arrangment but the designer said it was 5 in the cabin (2 up front, 3 in the back) and then "2 kids" all the way in the back. I'm kind of thinking there is some sort of small fold out seats in the trunk area like they used to do in station wagons.
Oh, and I totally want one.

Wow, $50k. That's pretty reasonable.

I wonder what the range is on a single charge. That would probably be my only selling point....along with a good warranty as well.

"2 kids" in the back, must mean stuffing them in the trunk in which case many sedan's are 7 seaters. Shocked
