That's bananas. A full size truck, even if it's just a V6 base model, should have NO trouble pulling your boat out of the water. Unless you're trying to pull it out without the aid of a boatramp or there's some other unusual circumstance, I wouldn't sweat it.

Power wise no problem, You may need more weight in the bed to prevent wheel
spin at a wet or stoop ramp. What model Supra do you have?

As long as your truck has the G80 locker in the rear it should be no problem at all. But even if it doesn't unless it's a really steep ramp you should be fine. If you have issues just use the boat to help you get started.

It definately shouldn't have any problems pulling or stopping te boat safely. As otehr have mentioned, you may have some issues on a wet ramp being only 2 wheel drive. Just use some common sense... most ramps aree a bit rough on the surface and you should be fine, but you may want to watch someone ahead of you or check before you launch to make sure there isn't algea or slime on the ramp.

It will pull fine. Be VERY careful how far down the ramp you go, I've seen 2wd get sucked into the water (once in person, and a couple vids) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3FshOpPqj88&feature=related I started out with basically the same truck (93 silverado 2wd) and had no problems. Towards the end of that first summer I watched a 2wd Ford go into the drink lol, was funny to see but it encouraged me to get a 4wd. I bought a 94 GMC s-10 Jimmy for like 2k, worked great for 2 summers till my brother crashed it.

I think that any full size truck be it v6 or v8 should have positive traction!
