I am booking a cabin on Eufaula for Memorial day. It is my first time to that lake, anybody have a suggestion about where on the lake I should be trying to stay? I plan on riding a lot, but I also want to be able to find my way over to the parties. Thanks for any help.

The parties are up by the damn at "the cut". I stayed at Belle Star last summer and from there to the damn was about a 45min boat ride. Lots of stumps and underwater hazards be sure to grab a lake map from the marina so you know where to avoid.

The link below should pull up a map w/ The Cut tagged.

Thanks for the info, the cabin we are looking at is in LongTown, so probably about a 45 minute boat ride too...

There is a little a canal that you need to hit.

Do you know where Gator's is?

Our house is a few minute boat ride away from the cut. My cousins own a house at Longtown... we can make it there in 30-40 minutes usually going 30mph or so. It'll be a pretty choppy ride most likely going back and fourth from the cut and Longtown considering how crowded it'll be on Memorial weekend. There is a great place to ski/wakeboard south of Longtown called "skier's alley". There is also an area known as "the three fingers" northwest of the cut that is good for wakeboarding. It gets pretty tight if you get more then a few boats in there at one time though.

It is on the lake but I'm not completely sure if it's Longtown Estates or not.
