Auto's are better for towing in some respects, but they also use more fuel, more brakepads, cost more, are more expensive to replace etc.

They are also as boring as they come. Nothing like gearing down, slotting home a cog, and shooting past the slow ass traffic on the highway! Holding down the 'power' button just doesn't have the same effect.

I wonder if they will ever develop a manual transmission with a selectable torque converter, for use in towing aplications. That would be cool! i would buy one, although they would be SLIGHTLY heavier than a standard manual, and definetly more expensive.

Would you guys buy one?

Well it looks like things are starting to look a little better 36 hrs later.
Timing sensor was the problem, they just reset the sensors and it hasn't come back on. Otherwise no problems with the timing as well.
I may not have to drive all the way across by myself trying to find a flight from FL to Houston to hook up with my friend.
Also a Mr. Wonderful has offerd to help me unpack when I get to Fl as well. Wink
So far things ar starting to look a little brighter. Then again Everything could just blow up in my face come Monday morning when I start my trip.

Phantom, unfortunatly most dealerships are not female friendly, they look at woman as easy money, it's sad but true. good luck with your pathfinder. I used to work at a ford/nissan dealer and nissans are good vehicles
