Just got back on Tuesday from an awesome trip. Had a blast at the park and on the North Bowl, even though we didn't get any snow. Weather was amazing, and in the 40s every day.
I hope to make one more trip up to Breck/Keystone to get another use out of my season pass. Anyone planning a trip there?
Had a blast on the snowskate, first time I've tried it other than the parking lot.
Recliner stall on top of the quarter pipe
EZ jib

Kinked
Drainage incline
I'll get you Gadget!
Melon
Snow-Cat to the North Bowl - well worth the $5
A little bare but still fun
Snowskating the bunny slope
About to drop into some powder on the snowskate
Surprisingly a lot of control in the powder

Cool I am going there next weekend. Nice pics. You got some good air off that one jump. _________________ There'll be two dates on your tombstone/ And all your friends will read 'em/ But all that's gonna matter is that little dash between 'em... |

Se7en, sweet man. Breck is pretty nice but the Keystone park is freakin huge. Breck has the T-bar which is convenient.
vette74, thanks. We tried to get about 5 more pictures from that jump but none of them turned out... _________________ You have just entered the twilight zone. |

Wakebrad, I'll take runs through the park, but never spend any real time there which is why I prefer Breck to Keystone, terrain is a little more to my liking. Plus, I wanna check out the Imperial lift. |

JeffreyCH, yeah, took quite a few. The first night we spent about 4 hours out there all the way till close. After that we pretty much just stayed on the park at night, since it was a pain to get back to Mountain House since they closed Peru for night skiing this year. Sucks. The pictures don't turn out very well at night. Not a lot of contrast to start with. Those snowskate shots are all at dusk. _________________ You have just entered the twilight zone. |

We just got back from Copper late last week. They had great conditions, but there was no one on the slopes. They got dumped on the week before and we still managed to find plenty of powder to play in. We were about the only people in the restaraunts all week and there wasn't a lift line wait the 5 days we were there. Great for us, sucks for them.
Hopefully they all survive the sh!tty economy. |

brew, that's crazy. There was a good balance of people at Keystone when we went. Still a lot of people, but not too crowded. _________________ You have just entered the twilight zone. |

It was like a ghost town at night there. The main restaraunts would have two or three servers working and there may have been 6-7 tables sat the busiest night of the whole trip.
During the day we pulled right into the lift every run and never waited. It hadn't snowed in about 4 days before we got there and we were in powder on several runs with hardly any tracks. The more advanced runs and the bowls were slightly busier, but it still was probably 10% or less of the crowds we are used to skiing. It made for a great week though (all except for the altitude sickness.) |
