I searched but didnt find exactly what Im looking for. I need help, Im trying to find a board that will work good for a big guy, plus others. I have a Malibu Wakesetter VLX for the boat. I am 6'1 and 230. Any help you guys can give would be appreciated. I would like others to be able to use this board but that is not my main concern . If they want to use my board they will just have to deal with it. Thanks |

There are two types boards fall into for the most part. Surf and Skim. You would be surprised what you can get away with on a decent wave, which you will get out of that boat. Myself and a buddy of mine are 250 and maybe then some and we both ride my Walker Project Composite 5' with no problem.
If you are after a surf style board, its best to stay away from the wakeboard manufacturers. Spend the dough on one of the wakesurf brands and you will not regret it. The Walker Project, Phase 5, Shred Stixx, Inland Surfer, etc. _________________ WakeSurf and Wakesurfing News |

The Blue Inland Surfer is probably a good choice. I am 220 right now and used it this summer. My 130 lb daughter was able to use it as well as my 80 lb son. |

I currently have a hyperlite Broadcast. I dont know if this helps, but Im pretty sure I want to do more of the surf instead of skim. Just looking for a board that will be better for us. Thanks |

That's what I started with too. Went to a shorter true wakesurf board and quickly realized it had less to do with board size and alot more to do with construction. The Broadcast is like a piece of plywood once you've been on a true wakesurfer. _________________ WakeSurf and Wakesurfing News |

So any of the companies listed above will work well? Just trying to get a good idea before I buy something. I also live where it wont be possible to test anything, I just have to do research and go from there. |

A friend of mine suggested a Ronix Stage for me. Big board and super easy to ride. I wouldn't recomend it for experienced riders for it's a slow board, but great for beginners or someone wanting to take it easy. _________________ www.krookedminds.com
